Will Burger King's Freeway Delivery revolutionize the food industry?

Updated: Sep 12, 2019

Road rage and hunger are a terrible combo, so #BurgerKing has swooped in to save the day.

They have unveiled their new delivery service for hungry people stuck in traffic.

Here's how it works:

While driving in your car, place an order via a special mobile app on your smartphone. The order is sent to a nearby Burger King restaurant. That restaurant will prepare your meal, and then a motorcyclist will deliver it to your location.

And how do they know your location? The app you used to order! It takes your GPS coordinates and then motorcyclist attempts to find your car. When first setting up the app you provide your car information like the model, color, etc. The motorcyclist pulls up alongside your car, you open your car window, and the motorcyclist gives you your meal. Don't worry about paying directly, since the mobile app charges your credit card.

Currently this service is available in Los Angeles and Mexico City, but who knows, it could be coming to a city near you!
